THE BLACKOUT
The sun rays hit my face
Brightening it even more
For it was gonna be the happiest day of my life
For it was something that I would treasure until my death
Wore my Saree
Braided my hair
Adorned the flowers
And shiny ornaments
I looked beautiful
I looked different
Today I would be moving into a new house
Which will become my home till my days end
Unfamiliar and different
But I was happy
My life was simple before
Then he appeared from nowhere
And made me a lot more happier
And we fell in love
Everything was good
I stood in front of my mirror
Waiting for my mom to call me
The door flew open
My mom stood there with tears in her eyes
Behind her came all of them
Who were my family
All had sad looks on their faces
Told me I can't get married today
It was annoying
I shouted and cried
They told me He will never come back
He was taken away from me
And I stood there
as my world crumbled down
I couldn't do anything about it
Time froze
Everything was at a standstill
I heard different voices
My vision blurred
I saw yellow lights
Then blackness hugged me
I saw him
His handsome face,
his beautiful eyes,
His gorgeous smile
Kept moving away from me
My life lost its colour
My colorful life was now black
my bright face was now pale
My eyes were now sunken
Spent days sitting in the house
Which was meant to be ours
Thinking about everything
My life was changed forever
I was never gonna be same
