THE CHANGE THAT CHANGED ME

You promised me you would support me

You promised me you would take care of me

You promised me you would never drink again

You promised me you would never hurt me 

You promised me you would never make me unhappy

You promised me you would never make me cry

But that's exactly what you did

You changed a lot

You were not the man I fell in love with

You were not the man whom I married

You stopped caring

You started  to shout 

And then one day 

You raised your hand on me 

That day something died within me 

One could call it love 

I never felt anything towards you again

An whatever I had in my little heart

Was pure hatred

That day I understood 

 I had never lived my life!

Always running behind you

Doing the chores

Taking care of your needs

I forgot to live my life 

Now I am happy

I became happy the day I left you

That day at the court 

was a new beginning for me

A new life to live 

A life to dream and achieve

A life to be enjoyed

A life without worries

A life to be happy about.
